When I first looked at this, thanks to one of my former coworkers, all I thought was \u201comfg arterial destruction!\u201d but then today six months later I was in the mood for one.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately I happen to be on of those few people blessed with a pork allergy so I had to shake things up a little. On top of that I am also one of those people who do not like BBQ sauce so I had to change it up a bit more! And since I learned to cook from my Jamaican mother I just HAVE to add Walkerswood Jerk Seasoning to EVERYTHING I cook PERIOD. So my version of this explosion of bacon is a little odd. Also I am not big on measurements (blame my mother).\u00a0But anyways!\u00a0lets get down to it shall we?<\/p>\n<p>As mentioned earlier I am allergic to pork so I used turkey products for this Bacon Explosion so here is my first step the TURKEY bacon weave!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rantingjamaican.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/IMG_8365.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px\" title=\"IMG_8365\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rantingjamaican.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/IMG_8365_thumb.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"IMG_8365\" width=\"244\" height=\"164\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Next I\u00a0created my own brand of Jamaicanified Sausage meat. in order to do this I used:<\/p>\n<p>3\/4ths pound of ground turkey<br \/>\n1\/2 tablespoon of Walkerswood Jerk Seasoning<br \/>\nSome Powdered Garlic<br \/>\nSome Ground Black Pepper<br \/>\nSome Paprika<br \/>\nSome Basil<br \/>\nhalf a teaspoon of salt (I am not big on salt and half a teaspoon was a bit much)<br \/>\nVERY little Cumin<\/p>\n<p>then I stirred it up and there you have it<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.rantingjamaican.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/IMG_8367.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px\" title=\"IMG_8367\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rantingjamaican.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/IMG_8367_thumb.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"IMG_8367\" width=\"244\" height=\"164\" \/><\/a>\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rantingjamaican.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/IMG_8369.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px\" title=\"IMG_8369\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rantingjamaican.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/IMG_8369_thumb.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"IMG_8369\" width=\"244\" height=\"164\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Next fried some turkey bacon. In hindsight I should have fried more AND I should not have cut up the turkey bacon before I sliced it. Oh well live and learn<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rantingjamaican.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/IMG_8370.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px\" title=\"IMG_8370\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rantingjamaican.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/IMG_8370_thumb.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"IMG_8370\" width=\"244\" height=\"164\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After the frying came time for my wonderful BBQ rub substitute. here it is<\/p>\n<p>1\/2 teaspoon Walkerswood Jerk Seasoning<br \/>\nSome Garlic Powder<br \/>\nSome sweet red wine (I used Imperial Red from San Antonio Winery)<br \/>\nSome Paprika<br \/>\nSome Basil<br \/>\nSome Ground Black Pepper<br \/>\nAnd about 1 tablespoon of Soy Sauce<\/p>\n<p>I then\u00a0 spread this stuff out over my bacon weave mmm mmm good!<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.rantingjamaican.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/IMG_8372.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px\" title=\"IMG_8372\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rantingjamaican.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/IMG_8372_thumb.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"IMG_8372\" width=\"393\" height=\"263\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Next I spread out my home made turkey Sausage meat over the turkey Bacon Weave<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rantingjamaican.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/IMG_8373.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px\" title=\"IMG_8373\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rantingjamaican.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/IMG_8373_thumb.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"IMG_8373\" width=\"397\" height=\"266\" \/><\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Then put my fried\u00a0 bacon over it. I wrapped it in Aluminum foil out of habit. I don\u2019t think it is necessary or even advised but I did it.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rantingjamaican.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/IMG_8381.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px\" title=\"IMG_8381\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rantingjamaican.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/IMG_8381_thumb.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"IMG_8381\" width=\"415\" height=\"278\" \/><\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Next I Shoved it in the oven at 225 degrees. I will not be responsible for anyone getting high blood pressure or anything like that!<\/p>\n<p>This is for all those people who can&#8217;t eat pork for whatever reason but still want to get a taste of the bacon explosion.
