About Me

This blog is really has no defined point and you will not find anything of use here. Basically i have an opinion about anything and everything under the sun. This blog is my outlet for these opinions and thoughts that sometimes require a release. Most of these entries will be poorly organized, of little consequence, or both.

If you would like to read about the things that I do and the things that I think then read my blog, otherwise goodbye.

The Story of My life

I was born in Pomona California in 1983. Both of my parents were born and raised in Jamaica. I, however, have not had the pleasure of going to Jamaica yet (life is so unfair).

I attended college at UCLA as a history major. Since my graduation I have worked 6 jobs, and these jobs are why I am the person that I am today. I worked in East Los Angeles helping disadvantaged youth to gain their GED’s and their high school diplomas for 5 months. Then I worked in the most painful environment possible, the UCLA hospital. At the Hospital I did various mind numbingly monotonous and boring tasks. Most of my day consisted of constant data entry into the hospital billing system combined with thoughts of jamming a pen into my Jugular. After 6 months there was a mountain of dead trees behind my desk because there was no room left to store all of the billing paperwork I had processed. jeebus it was hell. Finally after 6 months I got out of there. For the next year and a half I worked at the UCLA School of Law in the Information Systems Department. It reminded me of nicer days when I owned my own business repairing computers.

The other three jobs that I have worked were during my MBA, Kaiser IT, Harambe Entrepreneur Alliance (current), and Nimbani.com (also current).

But now, I am unemployed. It was actually quite wonderful because I was unemployed and in Taipei, Taiwan. And I had the time to learn a very small amount of the Chinese language (Mandarin to be exact). And adding to the splendor of the unemployed life I was able to spend four months abroad at the from September 2010 to January 2011.

In the fall (of 2009) I started school in Manhattan at the Fordham Graduate School of Business. But due to the fact that they let me starve for two months because they screwed up their financial aid, among other reasons, I transferred to the Loyola Marymount Graduate School of Business. LMU is great! But once again I had reasons to transfer. This transfer was all personal and had nothing to do with the quality of the school or their services. Everything about LMU was really good.

Anyways I am now at Seattle University and this is, without a doubt, the institution where I will be getting my MBA. In fact, at first I was looking at getting my MBA from Seattle University for reasons of proximity to my girlfriend, who is received her MBA in June of 2011 at UW’s Foster School of Business. I decided against it because I thought it wasn’t going to be a good school so I went for Fordham’s name, what an idiotic move. Seattle University’s MBA program is quite amazing. I highly recommend it to anyone. Their Experiential/Service learning curriculum has a huge impact on the way that the students view and feel about the program and creates a very unique atmosphere. Unique in a good way of course.

But enough of that. Now I am looking for a job. the jobless life has lost its appeal and now I want to get back into the world of earning money and being productive… I’ll let you guys know how that goes.

Anyhow read my stuff hopefully you will like it. if you don’t like it then comment about your displeasure or just go away. Your choice!
